Jenag
move
Part
of the reason for this expansion is the provision of improved
facilities for the manufacture of the range of Jenag self-cleaning
strainers. This DH subsidiary is moving manufacture from our factory
in Waterlooville, Hampshire to the Laindon site.
Jenag
sales and servicing are now being dealt with by DH, Laindon. This
turns full circle, because, when this revolutionary strainer was
introduced in the early 1960’s, all sales were conducted
by DH, leaving Jenag to concentrate on design and manufacture. |
|
One
major reason for the move is to provide modern facilities for
the manufacture of a brand new version of the unique backwash
system in the Jenag C Type. This is a major development by Jenag‘s
engineers, enabling this type of strainer to be used in pressurised
systems.
The
C Type, unlike the original Jenag design, is compact, and can
be supplied without a main throughput pump, for building into
process plant and transfer installations. Its self-cleaning
properties make it most attractive for continuous processes,
either alone, straining down to 50 microns, or as a pre-strainer
for filtration systems.
As
no scrapers are used, the stainless steel screen can have an
almost infinite life. This has both cost and environmental advantages
over replaceable media.
Constructed
overall in 316 stainless steel, the C Type Jenag is ready for
today’s water based formulations – and DH are ready
to gear up production. |
