DH Containaplant - Design Principles

The dh Containaplant is a filling room for flammable liquids and gases.

It has a safety system that integrates various functions and proprietary equipment.

The equipment and safety systems are designed, manufactured and installed to the highest standards of current technology and complies with current recommendations from the national aerosol manufacturing associaton, the FEA, BAMA and the UK Health and Safety Executive.

The Containaplant and associated services and equipment should be installed, run and maintained in compliance with the BAMA "Guide to Safety in Aerosol Manufacture".

The main potential hazard in filling flammable gases and liquids is leakage into the factory and subsequent ignition.

This leakage can only come from the filling operation so the first principle is to keep supply pipes and filling machine(s) outside the factory.

The dh CONTAINAPLANT is designed to be remote and placed outside the factory with an air gap between. Product containers are fed into the Conatinaplant and are returned after filling by conveyors that are routed through a purpose built tunnel.

Many versions are available to suit the type of product and production required. Pamasol propellant filling equipment is installed ready for connection to the production line and integrated dh Electro-link controls provide a safety system linked to the tank farm, production line and site security.
